Congrats Cape Gun Works Toby Leary!

He should get a custom wrap for his car/truck and drive around town with it.
I saw a small SUV with a Cape Gun Works wrap on 93 the other day… pull up next to see if Toby was inside. Did’t get a good look due to traffic. If you saw the crazy guy in a convertible Mustang trying to pull up next to you… it was me.

I find it hilarious how many here jumped right on the Maura was trolling narrative [rofl]
Toby suggested on Howies show (the day this happened) that it is possible that a constituent actually nominated him for the award; the governor office granted it... we might actually be looking at like a sort of trollception? kind of thing.

I doubt she even saw it, or that the signature is actually hers.

I do not believe this was some master level trolling she knew about or had anything to do with.
As much as I despise her, I don't think you're giving her or her staff enough credit here. This is something they are absolutely aware of (Toby, the coalition, the whole topic). She knew. Maybe she didn't think it up. But zero doubt in my mind she knew when it went live.

Close, pretty much spot on.
I'm pretty sure it was a Patriot who felt Toby could use some thanks for all he does for our rights. Also to show how clueless our officials really are, and their staff, it helped to not include anything at all about 2A or firearms in the writing of the nomination.
Anyway, Toby now knows who sent it in and as I predicted, he did put it on his wall, check out the pin he used to pin it to the wall. I think he appreciates the irony of the citation and who signed it.

I wouldn't be so sure about that, the staff member who helped no longer has an email address there, so there is that.

The concept of lying is so ingrained in politicans that they can't help it.

Instead of just saying "I play the gun control game to win and get my way any legal way possible", Healy instinctively lies and claims that the emergency preamble was unrelated to the petition.

And instead of saying "Playing the Indian card is how I got into academia and why I am now a senator", Warren claimed she filled that out on forms because she actually thought of herself as American Indian for her entire life.

These people can't help but lie, even when it is obvious. It's just their nature.

I get that, but there have been plenty of comments suggesting that Maura initiated all this as an effort to humiliate or rub it in Toby's face, which is pretty ridiculous IMO.

I agree in the sense that it just doesn't make any sense for her to be doing that but you never know it's not completely impossible but it's probably more plausible that somebody on our side actually snuck in this nomination as a backhanded way to sort of troll the shit out of the governors office, like in the way that Ripton MA was used to troll the shit out of loop politicians. 🤣

I'd be willing to bet that the first she heard about it was when a staffer dropped a copy of the Herald on her desk.
I can just hear it now.... "Who the f*** approved this?!"

Those who think she actually participates or even pays attention to, these commendations , give her far too much credit.
But I bet she pays attention now! Or just ends the whole program.
