It's trolling to me. An action or spoken word for the sole purpose of pissing people off and getting a reaction.

Trolling is inherently insincere. You don't mean what you say or do, you don't believe it, you are just trying to find the button that sets someone off.

Absolutely self serving. I bet she thought it was the funniest, most politically correct "F YOU AND THE HORSE YOU RODE IN ON" she could do.

I think it's more likely driven by a guilty conscience - not for attacking rights, but for the preamble that was clearly not an emergency, rather an abuse of power used to subvert the will of the people that was supposed to be respected per MGL.

I don't believe Maura could have one. That to me seems like " Hey, you know how I'm trampling on the Constitution, ignoring the Democracy that is the basis of the name of my party? And you know how you headed up this big effort to try to delay the plan I put in motion 8 years ago and have finally brought to fruition? Well, f*** you, it didn't work, here's your consolation participation trophy."
