Look forward to your review, just try not to come in over 25 minutes like nutnfancy, that guy could do a half hour review of a spoon

ha, there is very little i could even imagine covering that nuttn' doesnt get in this vid. however, i got the newer phantom jacket without the hood, and i got it in OD green instead of coyote. ill just show a couple pics and give some thoughts on quality and whatnot, seeing as though nuttn's review is a little old.

I bought a couple of Condor items to see how they would hold out (backpacks mostly). I think they do give you a lot for the money you pay but the zipper on one of my backpacks kept failing and I actually met the Condor guys at SHOT and they told me they "used" to have a zipper problem they corrected. When I asked if they would do anything for the customers that had euipment with faulty zippers they said that it was an "acceptable" failure rate given the price point. I did not like their answer but, from a business perspective they are right. I'm still using the rest of the gear I bought and it seems to be holding up quite well.

If you want a soft-shell jacket, try Marshall's or TJ Max. They often have Marmot, Cloudveil and other good brands. They might not be "tactical" or whatever but they're good.

I got a black Marmot soft-shell there and it's very nice and the price was great.

well i got the jacket... everybody that says order a size up is right. i measured myself and read their size chart, got a large and figured it would fit perfect, it fits just a little bit snug. its not unbearable, i just think it would suck if i wanted to wear alot under it. think i might return it and get an XL. The zippers on the softshell are lame, the zippers on the micro fleece SUCK.

thats cool man, i have a nice columbia one, i saw the review and wanted to give em a try. im not a huge tacticool type guy but i also hate the north face ugg boots fad, so its cool to me to have something a little different that costs about $200 cheaper than anything more trendy.

Purchased it in OD green. Very pleased. Ordered a large (6 feet - 190 lbs.) and it fits perfectly. The only thing I didn't like was that it felt like I was wearing a neck brace because of the bulk of the hood when it was rolled into zippered compartment. I never wear a hood so I solved this by cutting it out. Problem solved and it is much more comfortable. Great value.

you can order the phantom that has no hood now too. i am 6 foot - 210, it fit me perfect like i said, but i think itd be tight if i wanted to wear much more than a long sleeve shirt under it. idk, maybe i should just lose a few LBs haha.

I've had one of the Condor jackets for about a year - no major complaints. Ordered one size larger than I usually wear, which was the right call. The collar is bulky when the hood is stowed. No zipper failures yet, but they aren't the best zippers ever put on a jacket. The thin fleece lining is more comfortable than the nylon lining in another softshell I own. For the price, I'm happy with it.

wore the softshell hunting on saturday and again hiking sunday. saturday night it was freezing and i was comfortable, sunday it was mid 60's and i was dying, humping my PSL and a backpack, stripped down to just a t-shirt under the jacket, opened up the pit-zips, and i was comfy as hell. for the money, these jackets rule.

I have one of those, got it from a friend that wanted a different color, i've had it for about two years, he had it for a year before me or so. still holds up great, quite warm and the pocket inside the right chest pocket is the perfect size to act as a holster for a ruger LCR.
