concealed carry across state lines; what happened to this?

The R't never wanted it to pass, as that would give the enemy a rallying point. But, the R's wanted to be seen in favor of it, so no doubt back room deals were made as to whose seat was "safe enough" to vote against it so it wouldn't happen; R's would be on gun owners side; and the Ds would not get something to use against the Rs.
 
House passed, Senate sat on it, session ended. New house doesn't have the numbers to pass it.
