Comm2A files suit against Rehoboth...

Awesome..

On another note, I'm sure Comm2A has other pressing priorities, but any thoughts on having the What's New section of the website dynamically update itself? There's lots of projects, info, and deadlines. Would be nice to have something that just says "This is updated news!"

This makes (count 'em) eight (8, ocho, huit, etc.) active federal cases that Comm2A is managing.

What you're seeing is the fruition of many years of hard work finally coming together. Five years ago we thought this would be easy and that cases would come together quickly. It didn't turn out quite that way, but Comm2A has more than hit its stride this year. To get here we had to get over a higher than anticipated learning curve, finally develop some name recognition, put together a network of interested and talented lawyers, etc., etc..... and of course raise money.

May has been a very good fund raising month for Comm2A. Whether it was the membership announcement (oh, and the challenge coins), or the new cases we've filed in the last few days, we've seen a nice expansion of our donor pool. A big thank you to everyone that's donated to Comm2A for the first time or who has decided to re-up.

However, that fact remains that the Comm2A donor base is an incredibly small percentage of the people who actively follow Comm2A. If you're a member - Thank You. If your membership comes from a monthly donation, Thank You very much. Our next and on-going challenge is to raise enough money to keep these eight cases going and to recruit enough members to demonstrate some 'muscle'. Apart from helping to fund Comm2A, the next best thing NES members can do to help Comm2A's agenda is to actively recruit new members. The NES community is a small sub-set of Massachusetts gun owners. But, it it a diverse, visible and well connect group of people. Let's use that to our advantage.

Hopefully, the day will come when being a gun owner caught without a Comm2a challenge coin with be about as socially acceptable as sporting Obama/Biden/Hildebeast bumper stickers on a car in a gun club parking lot.

So if you donate monthly are you automatically a member?

IIRC from the letter I received, if you donate at least $50 annually you are a member. If you were already at that threshold, you should have received (or will receive) a letter in the mail with a cool Comm2A challenge coin.

Whats with rehoboth? Are they all high over there or just calvin coolidge fanboys?

Is it acceptable to sport them on a Subaru Outback Wagon that was dropped off a flathead for use as a car shoot target?

I cannot wait to see updates.

I actually enjoy reading legal briefs. The motion/response dance shows how some people have a fine command of English while others have no business with crayons, let alone writing legal documentation.

The proposed order linked on the Comm2A website says "along with costs in the amount of five thousand dollars" but the actual amount in parentheses is $5425.
