So I have an opportunity to purchase a new in box Colt Government 1911 with rail in 22 cal. The price is below dealer cost, so I want to jump on it ASAP. Does anyone have one and what are the pros and cons if any, I would use it for plinking and trigger time indoors in the winter.
Thanks for the help

Like a Colt Ace? If so, buy it now. But I thought they stopped making those. Is it a true Colt 1911 in 22? or a colt frame with a conversion kit? Just trying to understand what you mean?

ETA: I see what you mean, with a rail like you said. Looks ok, Colt is the standard - so it should run fine and hold value.
