Now that the weather is colder, I can use my favorite U.S. Reproduction shoulder holster and carry a bigger gun. Today was my favorite revolver; a S/W Victory in .38 special. This one was an unmarked Navy piece shipped to Oakland, CA, on July 9, 1943, so it just recently turned 75. For whatever reason, the Navy needed more revolvers beyond their contract, and there were some sent with out the U.S. Navy marked on them. This one, SN 353xxx, falls in that range.
Federal 158gr LRN at 40 feet, all double action. 61F, cloudy, windy. Ammo specs at 770fps and 208ft/lbs; nice practice ammo. The Hornady HXP JHP SD ammo I carried in it specs at 1010/249
