Lecture by Jeff Cooper given to the 15th Annual Meeting of the Doctors for Disaster Preparedness held in San Diego, California; June 1997.

Well worth the watch. He seemed like a guy you could spend hours listening to over some beers at a bar.

Some of the topics brought up (especially the militarization of police) surprised me. I didn't think of that being an issue, at least a well known or publicized one, until recently.

Holy necro-thread!

Glad you guys enjoyed it. I have the audio on my iPod and re-listen to it from time to time while driving around.

Col. Cooper really had a way with words when both speaking and writing.

IMO no one has filled the void that the Col. left when he died. Certainly there are numerous great trainers and instructors around these days, but none of them entice me with their writing and speaking the way Jeff Cooper's did.
