I'm sitting here enjoying a hot cup of coffee. Our cupboard is loaded with coffee mugs from different locations. Some are obviously cheap as the writing on them rubs off. Some have rather uncomfortable handles.

I like my LL Bean coffee mugs. Well built. Comfortable.

Just wondering if you have a coffee mug that you think is really well made and is your go to?

Yeah, this is a weird question but morning coffee is like a transcendental experience for me. Or put another way, it get my ass going in the morning...

:)

I have a cabinet full of almost exclusively Death Wish-branded mugs from Deneen Pottery. And one lone vintage Pfaltzgraff.

The cup has to be just right as to weight and most importantly the handle has to have “ that feel “. Kinda like a favorite pair of boots. My favorite is a Christmas themed mug emblazoned with Bah Humbug. Perfect sentiment for early morning before that first sip.

My favorite coffee mug is a Pink Floyd DSOTM mug with the prism motif. I'm on my third one.

When she was younger, one of my granddaughters used to call it "Papa's pretty RAIN-bow cup", emphasis on the "RAIN"...LOL

When she's around, I still call it that...years later.

Last year the wife asked what gift she could get me. I drink more coffee than I should publicly admit and thought about all the mugs I’ve broken (handle or entirety), also how even intact they’re sometimes too hot to handle. And I remember my grandfather ALWAYS having a metal Eddie Bauer travel mug with him. In the car, around the house, for decades — most fond memories of him include it. Sadly got lost after he was gone, otherwise I would be using it every morning and thinking of him. So I asked the wife to get me the last coffee mug I'll ever need and maybe pass on to some coffee addict progeny.

- titanium
- no handle
- double-walled vacuum insulation

LOL, I'm not the only one who has favorite mugs. Years before even moving here I was visiting Maine and bought a fundraiser mug at the Rockland Lighthouse. Local made and VERY heavy, as in break your foot if you drop on it. Some restaurants have coffee mugs like this or serve a mug of chowder in them. I have a spare just like it that was given to me in a swag bag on race night at Wachusett Mountain.

Aren't those black rifle mugs really expensive? Like 2 boxes of 9mm in today's market pricy ?

Got a free yeti travel mug from work . Wasn't going to buy into the hypet but the thing is awesome . keeps coffe warm and the magnetic lid helps out a lot.

Would like to get a nice ceramic mug for vaction or retirement when I have time to sit around and think about coffe mugs

I paid$15.99 for that mug. That's actually a decent price for a good mug these days.

(however, that same mug is now $18.99 and it looks like most of their mugs are $17.99)

IMHO, decent mugs seem to tend to run $15 and up to around $19.99 ....

I am disappointed. I was expecting collections, rather than individual promotional items with zero market value. Don't we invest in guns? I was hoping your mug collections will be kind of the same, items to fight for during the nasty divorce. If you ever go to Germany, make sure to visit the factory in Meissen

i use a big one from colorado with an elk on it.
just went thru that cabinet and tossed out half of the coffee cups, since we never used them and it was dangerous to open the door for falling ones stacked on top of each other.

I have 2 identical mugs that were given to me when I worked security at the local hospital community craft fair. That was November 22, 1992. Have used them daily ever since. Right size, right weight, right handle, just right. ;)
