Hey all. So I'm about to pick up some new toys from Four Seasons :). As these are my first purchases, they recommended the M-Pro 7 Tactical Cleaning Kit:

Is this a good starter kit? I don't want anything fancy, but I do want to keep good care of my new babies :)

Let me know,

I like the Otis kits. Never did like the push rod method and it's hard to do proper breech to muzzle cleaning in many guns with a traditional rod. With the flexible coated cable of the Otis system, you can easily feed your brushes, jags and patches from the chamber. I've also found I can pull much tighter patches than I could ever push.

I also have a collection of Bore Snakes which are great when you want a quick clean.

For solvents, I still use the good ol' Hoppes #9 and recently I've switched to Weapon Shield for my final lube/coating chores and it seems to do the job nicely. But I also have some synthetic greases and oils for specific situations.
