chrome glock

Do you intend to keep it or sell it? If you're looking to get rid of it sometime, maybe consider keeping it the way it is. If you're gonna keep it and you like it chromed...Do it.

There are sooooooo many Glocks out there that the value of one as a collector piece is probably limited. Unless you have an unusual rare model, say in .380 or 9X21, I'd say customize to your heart's content. But chrome??? A nice satin stainless finish, yes, but chrome??? [grin]

Chris

chrome was one of the options...and then other option is a finish similar to that of a sig pistol...i forget what its called but the slide looks like the "stainless" sigs

You should get it hard chromed... As for value of the gun the Glock is only worth about $400 used for the most part so who really cares. However, if your gun was hardchromed and you wanted to sell it then just use it as a selling point. The finish will only make the gun more durable. Plus, why buy a gun and keep it stock only to sell it??? Keep the gun, customize it, and shoot the crap out of it.

No matter what, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

You can gold plate it and you may say it's worth $1500, but if the most anyone will give you is $1000 then thats all it's worth to other people.

I bought a 3rd gen. Glock 26 for $500. People are stupid to pay $700+ for a $500 gun. Weather you can get them in MA or not it just isn't worth it.

IMO, plating/croming/gold inlaying of a glock will do nothing to
enhance its value. A glock is the toyota camry of
handguns. They're blah for a reason, the owners and buyers
prefer them that way, generally.

Generally 3rd gen glocks are a bit more expensive here than they should
be.... and wether or not someone pays $700 is all dependent on
how long theyre willing to wait to try to trap the right kind of
deal.

G35s, and especially, G34s don't exactly grow on trees around
here. Those almost always get $700+ easily.

The value of guns in MA is largely determined by whatever the market
will bear- and a large part of that value is availiability or the patience
of the buyer. The smart guys will hunt around for 6+ months to
get a deal, the impatient ones will lock onto the first gun they
find.
