You ever look back at pictures when you were a kid and say "My god, I was the biggest dork ever!" ??

Brent was kind enough to find some pics of him and I growing up, and this is one of those pictures.

The year 1983, Brent is wearing the helmet, and I am wearing the ever so popular maroon "Members Only" jacket. [shock]

Seriously,
My parents dressed me up in this rust color "Leisure Suit" for my kindergarten pictures. The next year it was a powder blue one..
There are also tons of pictures of me wearing my "Clown Pants" as I like to call them...
They were these god awfull pants that were vertically striped in every color you can imagine.

I find it hard to forgive my parents for putting me in those things, even though my dad was only making Buck Sergeant pay!

I was a major tomboy growing up. A lot of my childhood pics feature me running around in a "Captain America" t-shirt that I wouldn't leave home without.

I got one of those dress up things at Disney, Civil War with me and my brothers. Brother matt looked clueless holding the gun, brother Mike looked like he should be telling jokes. And me, I look like if you mention that I look stupid in the get up, I'd skewer you with my sword.

Is real cool too, its in Black and White

Here's me (on the left) and my first girlfriend in spring of 1947. She's 6 months older than me. We went all thru school together, dated thru most of high school and then she dumped me for someone else.

We still see each other. We plan HS reunions and get together with old classmates quite regularly.

We're still good friends.

Anyone old enough to remember Rex Trailer will know that they always picked "The Wanted Man". They'd dress a kid up in a disquise, out of the audience. I was on the show way back as a little kid and got picked as the wanted man. There's a photo of it at my moms and wish I had it to share. It's a gas.

three one

My god....I *AM* old enough to be your mother.....I'm so depressed....

I'm not quite old enough to be his father... missed it by about a year or so.

Oh sure dwarven one...rub it in.

[wink]

Hey, if you're looking down at the grass... it's still better than looking up at the roots.

And if this will make you feel any better... here's a pic of me with my father when I was Bar Mitzvah. I don't have anywhere near as much hair today... :D

Too bad you had to kill the couch for that jacket. [twisted]

Uh... Well... I actually hadn't ever shot a rifle when that photo was taken. First rifle was that summer at camp.

Besides... what 13-year-old do you know who ever LIKED wearing a tie and jacket? Heck, I still don't... even though I have to wear it every month for Lodge.

Ross.....A suit or a Tux to Lodge? A tux is the easiest thing to wear. No figuring out what tie goes with what shirt. Black Tux, black shoes, white shirt and your out the door.

I just figured out I'm one of the older people here.....what a bummer.
My little girl will be 22 next month but memories of Major Mudd, Rex Trailer, my 69 mustang, Mexican brothels and stress-free holidays still seem fresh.
I graduated in 75, married in 83. I'll be starting my 30th year at work next month, started skirmishing in 91.....Where the Hell does the time go?
I hope for grandchillens.........but not quite yet.

And..........does anybody know how to build an ark?
