Shouldn't it be up because of all the new CCW permits. I don't get it. That's what was predicted. There is nothing in the story about that.

The murder total is 409 as of today.
They haven't had 32 murders in the last week.
The murder count was 403 on 11/24, which was a day before that story was published claiming only 377.

Even if they were down 20%, no one with a brain would call that many murders something to be proud of. It's a hell hole and it will be a murder mecca for a long time.

Could also be that the Keynesian stimulus of black markets with guns, money and drugs was lower this year because some this government stimulus was redirected to sending illegal guns, drugs and money to the middle-east.

They have until January 5, 2014 to make the applications available, I suspect only the politically connected will have a permit before March.
