Dear Governer Baker,
I am one of those registered Republican voter who voted for you and got you into the office which you currently hold. I am also a licensed gun owner and I thrive in the gun owner community. It is filled with good, intelligent, loving and helping people. However, there are tremendous grumbling about the recent actions you have allowed the AG Healey to prosecute on legal gun owners.
I imagine this is the same feeling that the black community has with their disappointment in President Obama and his inability or ineptitude in improving the race relations and the lot of the black man in society today. Just as the black race has rights under the Constitution, so do gun owners.
I thought that we helped elect you the top official in the highest office in the state, but apparently you are not the top official or the top person we thought you were. Why you let an AG run rough shoot on our Constitutional rights is beyond all of us. At this point you will certainly be a one term Governer, and be branded a turncoat by the Republican Party. You must consider your future in politics and if you desire to remain a member of the Republican Party, you must make all efforts to squelch AG Healey's efforts to limit our Constitutional rights.
The aim of her efforts are way off target as Massachusetts has no reason, no treat to our peaseful way of life. Our Police are respectful and tolerant and thus are respected. But. No matter how friendly they are, they are still limited in their coverage. In the unstable world we live in these days, you are allowing someone, a single person, take away the very thing that may keep us safe. When seconds count, the police are just minutes away; remember that, we do. Also remember that we are law abiding citizens by the mere fact that we follow the already suppressing gun laws and the threat of losing the remaining rights we have is which keeps us not just law abiding, but active citizens in keeping our society in order.
This letter could go on several paragraphs but I think is suffices to say that we are depending on you, we implore you to stop this erosion of our Constitutional rights to protect ourselves.
How does that sound???
