Police arrest two in Charlestown High School shooting

Police arrested two juvenile suspects today in connection with an incident Thursday in Charlestown in which shots were fired at high school students walking to school. Boston police said that two males aged 15 and 16 were taken into custody this morning on an array of charges including assault with intent to murder. The suspects, who police did not identify because of their age, are scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon in Boston Juvenile Court. The shots were fired shortly after 7.30 a.m. Thursday at three students on their way to Charlestown High School. The students were not hurt. Investigators recovered shell casings at the scene. The teens have also been charged with assault by means of a deadly weapon, discharging a weapon within 500 feet of a building and Illegal possession of a firearm.
