For the low power radio, CB user, camper and rv communications. This should be interesting on how it impacts the road/portable communications in the near future. It has taken the lobby, led by COBRA, a few years to get it this far. The new COBRA 75 All Road should be out soon. We'll have to wait to see what President or Midland comes out with.

This will replace the portable Cobra 75 wxst radio that has been a go-to radio of many off roaders for years.

A little history.

Cobra SEMA announcement:

COBRA ELECTRONICS UNVEILS REVOLUTIONARY NEW 75 ALL ROAD WIRELESS CB RADIO AT SEMA 2022

The leading name in CB radios, Cobra’s newest product completely rethinks the category by providing the most advanced, fully featured wireless CB radio designed for all conditions
LAS VEGAS – NOVEMBER 1, 2022 – Cobra Electronics, the leading brand for award-winning automotive, mobile, and consumer electronics, is giving SEMA attendees a first look at the new 75 All Road, the brand’s most advanced wireless CB radio providing next-generation CB communication that will officially be available in early 2023. Designed for off-road enthusiasts, recreational vehicle drivers, and professional drivers, the new CB comes equipped with an all-in-one handset that connects wirelessly to a separate transceiver via Bluetooth®. Other groundbreaking new features include dual-mode AM/FM, advanced DSP sound, and voice-activated transmission (VOX) – all within a compact, IP66-rated waterproof design.
Unlike other CB radios, the 75 All Road’s new AM/FM feature provides added clarity and reduced interference. This, combined with the All Road’s digitally enhanced noise filtering, delivers clear sound in practically any driving condition. The product’s compact design also allows it to conveniently fit in any vehicle and communicate with all types of drivers and outdoor enthusiasts in any vehicle class.
Integrated Bluetooth® allows the all-in-one handset to connect wirelessly with the transceiver, providing the flexibility to power the handset via USB, 12V power adapter, or via direct connection to the transceiver. Like other Cobra CB radios, the 75 All Road will feature an easy-to-view display for night and day viewing, 10-Channel NOAA Weather Alerts, and more. In addition, the 75 All Road can connect wirelessly to the optional All Road Push-To-Talk (PTT) Button (sold separately) and any compatible Bluetooth headset (sold separately) for handsfree communications.
“Our team has been on the forefront of working with the FCC since 2017 to make AM/FM CB radios possible in the U.S.,” said Gail Babitt, CEO of Cedar Electronics. “The 75 All Road is not just a revolutionary new product for Cobra, but the culmination of the hard work and determination that went into getting this legislation approved – and will set a new standard for product innovation as we head into the future of CB radio technology.”
In addition to the 75 All Road, Cobra will be showcasing other recently launched products at SEMA 2022, including the new Jump Starter 1000A and Power Station 200W.
Cobra’s new 75 All Road will be available for purchase starting in early 2023 at $199.95. To learn more about the 75 All Road or other Cobra products, visit www.cobra.com.

I wonder how the real world performance is on this radio.

In the past the small chassis radios were garbage. I’ve thrown out 2 but my tweaked radio is just too big to mount anywhere with a console and buckets in my pickup.

Harley dropped CB radios from their top tier touring bikes a couple of years ago in favor of some proprietary bluetooth setup .... We use the CB's on group rides to make sure the guys in the back of the back have made it through lights.... when there are 11 trikes and maybe 3 of us still on 2 wheels it is a lot harder to keep the group together than you'd think.

Also this 4 watt output is BS considering how much the noise floor has come up over the last 20 years, the same stuff that is killing AM radio in cars killed CB years ago

Is the "new" cobra just a variation of the UK version, they rum FM/PM and on slightly lower frequencies.

AM CB has been outlawed in the UK for years
