Anyone ever see an AR case configured with the upper and lower detached?

What I'm thinking is a moderate sized case under 30" in the longest dimension so that it doesn't scream 'rifle'.

Very much like you see done for break action shotguns.

30" case

A friend bought a new Rockriver A2 DCM match rifle last year. It came in a short case upper separate from lower. The case is molded to hold both pieces. It is smaller, but neither of us cares to use it. We'd both rather put it in a soft case assembled.

You can get a smaller pelicon case and remove form as needed. I'm thinking of doing it once I have a number of AR upper/lowers so I can carry one lower and multiple uppers (or vice versa).
