Carrying pepper spray in CT?

Does anyone know what the laws concerning carrying pepper spray in CT by a non-resident are? I am going to Danbury this weekend and since I have not received my non-resident license to carry yet, I figured I would at least bring a can of pepper spray. You know, just in case.

Well it's sold in some stores here to the public so I guess you could call it legal but don't take my word for it.I've never heard or seen anything banning it or considering it a weapon and I know several friends who carry it with them.I don't see the non-resident thing being an issue.
