Mr. Solomon (the site admin), ended up getting a life outside of the digital world. He is now a private practice lawyer. From what i heard.

Massachusetts IS an Open Carry State. Fully preempted open carry permitted on foot and in vehicles with a license; localities fully

Yeah take it with a grain of salt....

???

Massachusetts is not a traditional open carry state, but it is not a crime for Class A License holders to open carry. However, it is reported that some jurisdictions will use this as an excuse to revoke permits. Please see http://opencarry.org/

Open Carry in MA, up to the police officer you run into. So not worth it.

As far as CCW I read the State laws.

There are places that will revoke your license and probably lock you up over the weekend for picking your toes in Poughkeepsie.

Ken

Just trying to figure this out.. [grin]

If they did that.. couldn't you sue the crap out of them!?? Whats the difference between that and locking you up for just driving through the town!? Whats the word.. false imprisonment or something comes to mind...

Has a nice reciprocity app. And a good travel app.

Take it with a grain of salt, but definitely looking good as packing.org did before Solomon lost it. And provides more interaction then http://www.handgunlaw.us/.

I used the CCW travel planner of going from MA to OH. It gave:

State CCW Permits that Ohio Honors:

Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wyoming,

What I did not find however is if OH honors those states as non res CCW. Some states will only honor them is primary CCW but not non res. The info of non res being honored/not honored should be made very clear or a person could think they were all set and find themselves in hot water.

Am I missing it some how? Would not be the first time I missed something right under my nose, but that type of info should be made VERY hard to miss.

Hi Will,
This is coming almost two years later but I was thinking the same thing, does your non-res work? Well, rather than start a new thread I felt resurrecting this one to be a better option.

The site lists states that only have reciprocity for resident permits in yellow. For example, I have my non-res NH, NH reciprocates to 22 other states, of those Colorado, Michigan and Florida are the only ones that require you have a NH Res permit. http://apps.carryconcealed.net/legal/newhampshire-ccw-state-laws.php

Can any of our legal guru's verify the site's information as legit?

Thanks

Cmaro, to verify it, you are best to look at the AG's website for any state in question. http://www.handgunlaw.us/ is good for links to the AG's website for most/all states.

These agreements change frequently and thus the only "good" info is that "you can take to the bank" (print out from AG's website just before leaving on a trip).

A good example is PA . . . there was a pissing contest about accepting a NR FL permit between the AG and PA SP . . . not sure how it got resolved but allegedly people were hassled/arrested by PA SP even though the AG said it was fine.
