The odd thing about that is what would've really happened if that was an Army Air Defense Unit.

They would've shut down the TAC site, evacuated all non-essential personnel, had the best maintenance guy lift the missile back up with a wrecker, run safety checks and they'd submit a formal report to the Secretary of the Army.

Been there, not fun, while I was in Germany, assigned to a HAWK missile Battery. I don't remember who got relieved from their position for the screw up, either, but somebody did, because that's the first punishment.
