I’m leaving tomorrow for a long range shooting class in Texas

I called Enterprise and told them to cancel my reservation for tomorrow and my membership due to them stopping the NRA discount.

Got a Hertz rental instead, but need to find the best option long term

Which other rental company offers the best competitive pricing?

Good for you for dumping Enterprise.
As far as alternative transportation... Uber?

I always used Avis in the past. Never had any trouble with them.

I think we have a corporate account with National at work, but I never travel where I need to rent a car anymore.

I'm an Oddball so...

Take your own License Plate and Registration with you and buy a nice, old, rust-free classic to drive home.

Whenever I need a rental car, I book through “Autoslash”.....best price you can get and screw the discount cards

It looks like the NRA might have gotten overzealous in using the airlines logos. Basically, any "group" can sign up for a discounted travel rate to an event, for example, such as the NRA convention. So there never was a longstanding partnership between the airlines and the NRA.

From here: Delta and United have ended travel discounts with the NRA amidst growing consumer backlash

Unlike other organizations that have severed ongoing partnerships with the NRA, the airlines were offering one-off travel discounts for group members. A spokesperson for Delta toldThinkProgress that these types of contracts are routine for groups of 10 or more are “routine,” while United said it does not have a partnership with the organization, and that its discount was a standard policy. While these might have been standard arrangements, that both airlines are backing off helps show the considerable controversy that the NRA has attracted in the days since the attacks.
