Can the State Suspend Your Civil Rights, as Long as It’s in ‘Good Faith?’

Can a state suspend your civil rights in good faith?

Yes, see martial law, as well as habeus corpus and/or red flag.

Should they be able to? That's a different question.
I’m actually ok with it in a real emergency. The problem is that like every other power, it will be abused again and again. We are still living under the shadow of 9/11 20 years later.

Gen z will have no middle ground, they will either be completely bought into the system and its degeneracy, or so appaled at it that they will be entirely against it.

This is just disinfo. Notice all the citations point back to that same site, but there's no info about the studies or where/how they were conducted? The other articles are the same. CCP rag I suspect. Every article on that site is the same identity politics garbage.
Millennial or Gen Z?

All government exists to perpetuate itself. It will always choose to increase its size, influence, and power. It will never voluntarily reduce, limit, or eliminate itself.

The only way that will ever be reversed is when we stop paying for it or take it out behind the barn and bash it with a shovel.

WWII - Japanese Internment Camps. 'nuffsaid.

Of course they can. It's just common sense to realize they're going to use false common sense to take away your rights without due process in the future.

REALLY??!!! In what POSSIBLE EMERGENCY is confiscating guns from the citizenry (not an individual, everyone) even remotely acceptable??? I'll wait right here......

Not talking about guns, just things like curfews and large gatherings. Can’t think of a good reason why anyone would ever benefit from not having a gun or free speech.

The state can do anything the people allow them to do, problem is the people allow the government to get away with numerous things our founders would never have let them do.

so, to put down an insurrection the gov decides to institute curfews and gatherings of more than 3 people. what's not to love? /sarcasm

Just how can curfews be construed as good and peaceable large gatherings be bad? Even the word "peaceable" is a subjective term...We call the riots in the PNW as insurrection and violent riots (which they are) while the news outlets and far left pols call them peaceful...

Violent gatherings begat our republic...
