Camping on the way to Camp Perry??

We're making the pilgrimage out to Camp Perry for the 1st time, for the SAFS, & would like to "stop & sniff the roses" on the way out & back. [i.e., Remington factory, Fort Stanwix, Niagrara Falls, Baseball & Football Halls of Fame........actually, those last 2 might not smell like flowers ] Do you guys have any recommendations for good campsites near those? Or any other "Wicked Cool" stuff to see along the way? Thanks!

Check out Presque Isle State Park....It's day use, but well worth the visit and there's camping and wineries all around it...I used to ride my motorcycle up there when I lived in Ohio - parts of it were like a big valium - beautiful, peaceful...Love that place.
