Camden: Man Killed Trying to Disarm Robber

A grocery store worker was fatally shot on Saturday night after trying to wrest a gun away from a robber, Camden officials said yesterday. The worker, Ambioris Antonio Peña-Duran, 35, of Camden, was shot just after 8 p.m. in Cesar’s Grocery Store in South Camden.
Officials said he grabbed a robber from behind after the man pointed a gun at his 42-year-old female co-worker and demanded money. The robber broke free and shot Mr. Peña-Duran, the police said. Mr. Peña-Duran’s co-worker, who was not identified, was able to escape during the struggle, they said.
