Once again the enemies of our freedom are working "under the radar" trying to infringe upon our Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

GOAL has just learned that State Senator Cynthia Stone-Creem has filed an amendment to the Senate Budget which, if passed would open a pathway towards passing one gun a month legislation.

Please take action RIGHT NOW! Call your State Senator and urge them to vote Senator Stone's Senate Budget Amendment 692 down.

Massachusetts is in need of many reforms of our current laws regarding our Second Amendment. Senate budget amendment 692 is not a solution that will do anything to prevent crime, it will only infringe upon the rights of law abiding gun owners in Massachusetts.

No on Senate Amendment 692!

Just trying to understand what it means, basically if you by 5 guns in 4 months you go on a list to see if any of those guns where used in a crime?

“SECTION 4A. Clause (10) of section 18 ¾ of said chapter 6A, as appearing in section 4 of chapter 284 of the acts of 2014, is hereby amended by striking out the words “and (v) the effectiveness of section 128B of chapter 140” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “(v) the effectiveness of section 128B of chapter 140; and (vi) aggregate data concerning the annual number of transactions involving multiple purchases of firearms and the purchase of 5 or more firearms in a 4-month period by the same licensee, including an analysis of whether any such firearms were used in a crime identified and reported under section 131Q of chapter 140."; and

by inserting after section 46 the following section:-

“SECTION 46A. The second paragraph of section 131Q of chapter 140 of the General Laws, as appearing in section 70 of chapter 284 of the acts of 2014, is hereby amended by inserting after the words “in this section” the following words:- and data analyzing whether the license number used for the purchase or transfer of a firearm used in a crime was associated with the purchase or transfer of another firearm within a 12-month period and the number of such firearms purchased or transferred.”
 
That dumb broad is one of the biggest airheads in the senate but this still needs to be guided to its death.

You're already on the list if you're in Mass. This sounds like data collection to prove that they should limit gun purchases to 1/month. i.e. if they can show a higher rate of crime among multi-gun purchases, then that's justification for limiting purchases.

What's interesting about that is they claim that the guns used in crime in the inner city are coming from an "iron pipeline" out of NH/VT.

Once again, they are just trying to find a reason to blame MA gun owners and infringe upon our rights.

Keep it short and sweet. Something along the lines of:

Dear Senator XXXXXX,

Please vote no on Amendment 692, it paves the way towards passing one gun a month legislation. This type of legislation does nothing to prevent or curb crime, it will only infringe upon the Second Amendment rights of law abiding gun owners.

Thanks. All my drafts started that short, lol. Ended up all 'Murica, Freedom, Civil Rights, if she had convictions and wasn't a politician she'd actually fight to erode the rights of us plebs in public, etc etc...
