What you fail to understand is that the democrats do not compromise on gun control. Supporters of the 2A have received nothing in exchange for "compromise". You will get nothing in this bargain.

No they're for people who enjoy a little variety in their shooting experience.
LEO and military have select fire weapons, a naturally better choice and no hassles in their being obtained.
The slidefire is the next best and certainly the cheapest way to have a little fun while shooting.
ETA: I'm actually pretty proficient with one and its not even the correct handed one for my shooting hand. If that makes me a clown, I'll just put it back in the rack and take out the machineguns and regain full respectability in your eyes.

Have allegedly 2A supporters lost their minds? What is it you think you're going to get out of giving away more of your rights? The Dems aren't in charge right now. Even if they were, supporting a ban on bump stocks wouldn't save you from anything else. Federally, there isn't going to be support for another AWB. MA is screwed no matter what we do, so why tuck tail and give the Dems a moral victory?

99% of Americans do not know or care what the difference is between a full auto machine gun, a submachine gun, a bump fired machine gun, or a semi automatic rifle that looks like just like a machine gun.
2nd amendment rights don't get mindshare based on nerdy gun enthusiast arguments. The technical details of what is a automatic rifle versus are not just irrelevant, they are an impediment to communicating with people who don't want to hear that level of detail. It is best not to discuss technical definitions at all in materials that communicate with the public. That is a sign you're losing the argument. It is an emotional debate alone that sways people in this area. "Why do you want to leave me unable to defend my family?" should be the topic of discussion, not "you see an Ar15 is not really a machine gun". If you're arguing about that you've lost already.

I just can't even believe this is all happening. Gun owners are the ****ing worst when it comes to defending the right of ownership. What a bunch of turncoat pussies some of you are. There are so few true constitutional loving gun owners left in this world, and reading through this forum as of late, I can tell there are hardly any here.....
Think about what this opens up to the antis for a minute. Now we are about to allow them to dictate rate of fire. One could argue that ALL semi auto rifles are capable, bump stock or not, and the argument can be made to ban them. Expensive gatling gun? Crankfire? BANNED. Keep it up and you'll be defending your home with a goddamn flintlock.

There's this guy named Jerry who can dump a revolver, reload, and dump it again in less that three seconds. If he can do it anybody can, so revolvers need to be banned as well.

Someone posted the evolution of gun laws in England. Forget whether it was in this thread or another. They went from unrestricted firearms ownership to filling out paperwork to buy cutlery at a department store in well under 100 years. Thats what we're looking at. Our collective reactions to any talk of any restrictions on any type of firearms should be "NFW" before they even have a opportunity to finish their sentence. Dont even want to hear them out. The answer is no.
Any gun legislation is a violation of the Second Amendment which is supposed to be the law of the land. Want to be a law abiding citizen? Reject any and all laws which infringe upon civilian gun ownership in any way. Thats supporting the law of the land.
Guy in work asked me today if that meant being able to own a tank and I replied yes. He laughed. Own what you like and be ready to accept any consequences of misuse but no restrictions on ownership.

My guess is most just have them for occasional use and not for any accurate target shooting. Not sure that means they can't shoot. It's no different than a lot of accessories people get

It’s just like a giggle switch (full auto position on the selector) - fun as hell and a huge waste of ammo. The only tactical/defense reason for it is a large number of enemies almost on top of you - and that ain’t fun. The switch or stock at the range : perma-grim & giggle.
