CA - Female IRS Agent Shoots Armed Teen Muggers

A pair of teenage robbery suspects picked the wrong would-be victim overnight Wednesday in San Francisco's Bayview District and now, one of those suspects is in a hospital in critical condition.

The two suspects approached a woman outside her apartment in the Bayview at about midnight and tried to rob her at gunpoint.....

The title is somewhat deceptive, she was only armed because she was a Federal Agent. The average Bay Area resident couldn't get a permit to carry a concealed handgun, therefore shooting back wouldn't be an option.
It's really a case of poor victim selection on the part of the criminals.
