Probably a question that’s been answered over and over but I can’t find anything. A good friend lives in PA. I have a Mass LTC A unrestricted. Can I buy a firearm legal to own in Mass off of him and have it shipped home? If so what are the proper channels to keep it all legal. Thank you In advance.

Long gun, you can buy at a PA FFL. You can also have it shipped to a Mass FFL.
Handgun has to be shipped to a Mass FFL

Basic rule of thumb. No cross border FTF sales-has to be through an FFL.

In addition, if it's a long gun you received from a PA FFL, you are responsible for filing the eFA-10 form with MA within 7 days of it arriving in MA. If you go through an MA FFL, they'll do that as part of the transfer.

And be damned sure that you line up the Mass FFL beforehand.

Which will include the FFL determining that the make/model is legal to transfer to you in Mass.

Because FFLs really hate some random gun showing up in the mail unannounced,
and discovering that it can't be sold to the buyer.

GFDV (Good friends deserve visits...)
bring a couple of lobstahs...

Then, transfer there and bring home.

Thank you guys so much. Great info and help. Any FFL you recommend south of Boston? Have no problem with the lobster part either as I have a pretty good connect for those lol. Thanks.
