As a Mass resident is there anything I need to worry about if I buy a Garand from the civilian marksmanship program?

The way I understand it is that I buy it on line and they ship it. Once I get it I fill out a Fa-10 and that it. Am I right?

You cant buy an M1 "online". You need to send in the appropriate paperwork.
Per the CMP:
"Rifles and receivers may only be ordered through mail order. The CMP does not accept telephone, fax, or online orders for firearms. Ammunition, parts and other surplus items may be ordered by phone, fax, or online if CMP has proof of customer eligibility on file."

Ordering info here:

Fedex dropped some CMP goodies off at my house this week.
Two bayos. and two cans of ammo.
They also have an auction section.
Once you send in the paperwork for your initial purchase you can sign into the auctions and Estore .

How long are they taking to ship ammo currently? I want to grab a couple boxes before I deploy but I am not sure I will get them in time.
