Hey all. Please check the Minuteman Armory sub forum for a special we are running this and next week.

The short version looks like this: Buy a Ruger SR9c and we will knock $10 off the price AND $25 will be donated to the Fisher House.

Since we came up with the original plan I got a good deal on a pile of used S&W M&P .40s. I will extend the deal to those guns as well.

Even if you have your own preferred shop, please feel free to come in scream "I HATE THE MINUTEMAN ARMORY, BUT I LOVE THE FISHER HOUSE" then throw some money at us (for the Project) and then slam the door on the way out.

Listen.. We know that this is a partly self serving post (I want people to come in and buy stuff). But if we are being honest, the $25 is my "real" profit... but with out these guys (and super hot women), none of us are here. No more preaching to the choir.

Thank you.

Hey all..

Yep.. I was unaware of the "revelations" of the WWP.

Someone also mentioned the Fisher House. In either case.. the goal here was to support our vets in some even anyway.

So how about we do the same deal but, for the moment, we'll nix the Wounded Warrior Project and move to a local group and make it the Fisher House.

It's really that easy.

JUST SO WE ARE CLEAR:

1: Just trying to do the right thing here.
2: It's an easy fix.. several members sent me credible evidence to the obvious public understanding.
3: Please see step 1.

4: We'll make the donation to the Boston Fisher House, as several members have suggestion.

Super easy right?

As mentioned, option B is still on the table, the one where you tell me to F* off but throw some money into the kitty.

Thank you for making the change. To many people (myself included) don't want to admit it when they are wrong. Now I will have to try to stop by at some point, though I still don't have any money to buy a new toy.

KB: At this point *I* am not willing to say that, I prefer to believe that their hearts are in the right place but they need some assistance to get on the right track. Based on several public and private suggestions the Fisher House is a little more on track.

Good on you for the better charity choice and the way you handled the comment! Rep inbound.

As a businessman, it is best to keep yr personal opinions private when speaking on behalf of your company.

There are lots of charities that aren't very effective. However, a lot of people support and associate with them, and may take offense because they perceive your criticism as an attack on them, even thigh they might change their mind if they knew the facts. I'm not suggesting it's right, but it is human behavior.

Tom: It has come out, with varying levels of credible sources, that WWP is more than casually anti-gun/knife/self defense. On top of that their $ pass through rate (how much is donated and how much of that reaches the clientele is only about 6%. Which, by any standards is pretty bad.

Rider: You're generally correct and I appreciate the comment.
