Buttstock length requirements on post-ban AR15?

I bought this bushmaster 2 years and it has no evil features. I have recently gotten the barrel threaded and the brake perm installed. Next I am going to go to a "stubby" buttstock so the gun looks more like the M4 platform. I dont want a collapsable version, more like the A1 length.

My question- Are there buttstock length requirements or OAL of a gun requirement in MA?? I want to say it must be 26" long???

The barrel was shortened so it's length didnt exceed 16" OAL and since the brake is perm it is part of the barrel. I think the buttstock looks silly with the shorter barrel (not technically a shorter barrel but you know what I mean)

I searched and found my answer- it cannot go under 26" or it is an SBR...... I need to measure it to see how much length I have to play with.....

Yup, was just going to answer you. There's no MA requirement, per se, but the federal NFA requires 26" or it's an SBR.
