Bullet setback--I'm sure this won't be any problem

Last time I was at my parents' house I brought back a couple of rifles and all my dad's ammo from his closet, before he auctioned everything off. I'm slowly getting through all the stuff. Pulled out an old moldy box of 7mm Mauser and found this:

I'm thinking what the hell, I'll just shoot it. Looks legit to me.

Seriously, what could have happened there? This round was in a factory box with several other rounds that look fine.
 
Either -

1. Someone had a double feed on a bolt gun and hit the bolt hard. It wouldn't set the chambered round off as it likely got stuck on the rim of the chambered round after riding the ramp.

2. The round was on a desk and someone dropped a hammer on it.

3. Someone was reloading while watching women's tennis
