Bullet Mold Porn ✊💦

Turn it down or use some shavings to shield the lead from oxides
I just tested both my Lyman digital thermometers - only have one probe, the other melted by accident when it fell in the pot - boiling water, one reads 210.5, the other 205.

So they are not too far off.

I will bring it down to 700 next time.

K type thermocouples are cheap
Just buy a stainless probe on Amazon.

If it's for the lead pot making a bracket is easy - 1/8x1/2" aluminum bar from HD is cheap and easy to bend as long as you anneal it at the bends (or it will crack)

I have a Lyman thermometer, but the temp is way off. Like 120°. Can you suggest a digital thermometer or multimeter that will work?

Mechanical or thermocouple?
Mechanical is pretty much a toss it.
Thermocouple - the probe type is probably wrong.

Otherwise just get a cheap 2 channel Thermocouple meter on Amazon.
They pretty much all use the same IC to read the probe anyhow.
I have this one but any of them with decent reviews will be good enough.

so nice, amazing really for what you pay for and where its coming from.
Meanwhile, an armorers wrench I ordered last week that is coming from MN is scheduled to arrive here on Monday.

And the MP FedEx shipping is cheap. The dude should start selling all sorts of reloading supplies I would rather pay his shipping any day.

Yeah the digital crap one. There are tons of reviews on them saying the temps were way off so I figured it was junk.
