bulk surplus .308 ammo?

I'm working on a 1919a4 build and need to find some 308 bulk surplus ammo cheap to link up for the gun. Of course there are places online but this does me no good living in MA. Does anyone know any local shops who have this ammo for a decent price? I hate the stupid laws in this state!

There was a bunch of decently priced surplus NATO 7.62x51 at Riley's in Hookset, NH. under .50/rd I think it came to (may even have been more like .42, I don't recall). You could also give State Line in Mason a call.

Unfortunately true. Oh for the days of cheap surplus 7.62 NATO. I remember some West German stuff I got that was superb -- long gone, of course.

yeah. In those rubber water tight "battle packs." Funny looking bags.

I just picked up some of the ammo u speak of at 4 Seasons and Acme Armament. It went for $120 for one of those green battle packs. Give Adam @Acme a call, he can get it for u!!

When I stopped in at Riley's last Friday, they had the German DAG 7.62 NATO battle packs for $89.95 or thereabouts.

DAG and MEN are excellent stuff I have squirreled a round or two away of

Anyone who buys German DAG should repack it out of battlepack and discard any enclosed cardboard, it causes corrosion on the brass.
