A Colt Officers built for light weight and a left handed shooter. The gun was converted from a bushed barrel to bushingless. The slide was tri cut, high beveled and a high power cut was added. New sights are Heinie tritium up front and a very slimmed down 10-8 in the rear to match the tri cut profile of the slide. The frame was high cut and serrated and fit with a matching MSH. The magwell was machine beveled. A Derr Precision grip safety was fit and cut down as small as possible. The hammer is a Harrison Design unit tripped by an E2 sear and disconnector. The thumb safety is a new EGW sleeved unit which was flushed and checkered in the left side and bobbed on the right. The slide stop is an EGW also which was flushed and checkered. Grips are Alumagrips thin. The finish is a brushed hard chrome with matte rounds.

Great job as always; I've never seen the off-side of a thumb safety checkered like that. It looks great.

Hi Greg,
What exactly is a "bushingless" action - or more importantly, how does one describe the lack of a bushing - and so on.

Totally digging the lefty vibe - ambi might be the only way I could improve
Thanks for posting and your input is always valued

Do you do that wonderful photography too? I always love your photos. Great lighting and quality and the interesting things in the background helping tell a story.

ETA: I think you could take a collection of your photos and make a glossy coffee table picture book. Each page with beautiful photos and a paragraph.

Especially like the checkering on this one.

"In" for the coffee table book.

Master pistolsmith, Olympian, and pro photographer. Most of his best (non-gun-porn) stuff seems to be stuck behind his news papers' paywall.

I've done a few books, not gun related. We have thought about a calendar and might do that some day soon. It's amazing what you can do with an IPhone :)
