View attachment 19748I have a blast fixing up old 22s that have been been forgotten. I have not had the time or space to do any in a while. Also doing the refinishing with such things as gun coat or any oven hardened finish is not happening with in my house as long as my wife is here.....
My Camera was on the flitz so no before pics. Lets just say it was a good sheen of flaky red with some minor pitting from fron sight to rear. Wood was the standard old redish brown paint/stain that covered up the wood grain pretty well on this. I already bead blasted with aluminum oxide.
Firearm: Sears model 25 22cal 22short HV only(I didnt even know the made High Velocity 22shorts) 22l and 22lr. semi auto tube fed. Made by High standard
Going to finish with a primer and paint, I plan on useing Dupont A-4115s primer its self etching and thin. I migh do a parkerize if I can find a big enough stainless steel pan for the barrel.
Wood is going to get Tung oil and bees wax
and yes it did function, bore was leaded to death and clean as chrome can be after deleading
