"It was very special for me to be part of the Bruins organization," stated Cam. "I have great memories of being with an organization such as the Bruins that had great tradition and all these great players. Being able to retire as a Bruin means a great deal to me."

He could shoot 95+ mph, make a 60 foot tape to tape pass, check you through the plexi-glass, and if you gave him a cheap shot he would drop the gloves and hand you your ass.

Cam was the epitome of how hockey is supposed to be played. He wore his heart on his sleeve and in his own words “gave everything he had on each shift”. A severe injury to his leg prevented him from a long career, but when he played, he dominated, and I’m happy to see that the NHL is going to put him among the greats of all time.

Neely will always be one of the best players ever. There are those who can score and there are those whop can fight, but the are few players that could have a Gordie Howe hat trick on any given night. There is no way of knowing just how many records he would of shattered.

I know there are some here on the forum that could care less about hockey never mind Cam Neely. But he does a lot in the Boston area to help the community. Cam knows the pain of loosing loved ones to cancer, he lost both his parents to it. Check out his website on how he continues to help people who are facing the hardest parts of their lives.

Cam's one of the only reasons why I used to watch hockey. He is a true gentleman in regards to helping those that need it.
