Re-invigorating my interest in Brownell's because of their Guaranteed Forever policy... [IMG]

    From Brownell's web site:
    Guaranteed. Forever.
We make purchasing and returning products as simple as possible. If you buy a product from Brownells and decide you don’t need it, don’t want it, or just don’t like it, we’ll take it back any time… with a few exceptions

    Exceptions include:
    • Firearms/FFL items
    • Ammunition
    • Modified 80% frames & receivers
    • Gun powder
    • Primers
    • Liquids
    • ORM-D/Hazardous items
All other products are Guaranteed. Forever.™ you can easily identify these products by the Guaranteed. Forever. Icon.

To that add: Great prices, great gunsmith tools, daily coupon codes, frequent "Free Shipping" coupons, makes this an excellent On-Line gun-related vendor...

Same day, but they ship by mule so it's always a good 12 days wait. I splurged last year and went for their paid membership. Worth it in my opinion. Free 2 day shipping on all orders. I have used their return system a few times and has always worked great.
My only complaint about Brownells is I wish they carried a greater number of manufacturers when it comes to AR stuff. They push Aero pretty hard.

Brownells stopped FFL03 discounts a few years ago. I recently made an account and found out. They will link your C&R info with your account but there’s no special discount. As far as I can tell they have new codes everyday for free shipping or $10 off 100

I have made use of the guarantee. It works in this case when the tool didn't. Their prices aren't dirt cheap but often close enough. My go to is still Shooting Supply in Westport. Midway isn't very competitive.

How do you get or use it? I even called and used the online “speak with a rep” option and they stain there is no discount.

There was a link on the website where to fax or email your license. I sent a pdf and voila I got a discount. It isn't much but pays for the C&R with a few purchases.

I’m logged into Brownells right now and I have my C&R linked. They used to show a two tiered price, (normal and discounted). Scrolling through I can’t find a single item discounted.

I was told recently that the discount varies by item. I can't find the email but they confirmed there is a discount for 03. Just finished an order and got discounts on everything. 06 reloading dies 1911 grip screws and some other items.

It was people abusing the LL Bean return policy that forced them to stop.
People would go to thrift stores and Goodwill to find LL Bean clothes then retirn them for full cash value. People were showing up with trash bags full of clothes and leaving with pocketfulls of cash. LL Bean in Freeport had a returns section with several registers and a line of several people with pags of clothes.

I know people that would frequent flea markets and buy LL Bean Fly rods that were broken. Go to Bean and return them for a replacement and then sell them on Ebay.

All of my purchases have been discounted from my FFL03. And they ship fairly fast. I placed an order Sunday night and it's arriving today. Had another purchase arrive on Wednesday that I purchased last Friday. Not bad.

Same discount applies to LEOs and firearms instructors (no double-dipping). NOT certain but worth asking if it also applies to MIL, active or retired.

As for the doubters, I just checked their price for the Ruger BX-25 mags (banned in MA) and it does indeed show 2 prices, their standard price and my price with the C&R FFL discount.

I gotta hand to Brownells for this. I bought an 8 shell carrier for 3 gun and one of keepers broke last year and they stopped carrying the brand. Not only did they send me a new one but one which was higher in quality.

I keep sending them back empty bottles of Hoppe's. "It's all gone again. Musta 'vaporated!"

I don't see scores of people flocking to Iowa to return old gun parts they found at the Salvation Army. That's what killed LL Bean's lifetime replacement/refund.

Anyone who shops at Brownells and Cabela's that isn't using active junky is leaving money on the table. They regularly have 6-10% cash back, and while that isn't much money on small orders, once you do the math, it turns their already good deals with the coupon codes into untouchable deals after the cash back. 10% off coupon code plus 7% cash back is a smoking deal on say a complete Giesele upper during a Giesele sale.

I just called Brownells about my account, they had my C&R on file but it wasn’t linked properly. Now that they corrected it I am now seeing a discount.

Yup. LL Bean was the first thing that came to mind.

The guarantee isn’t worth the pixels it’s printed with.

Well, there you go, that would explain it.
I don't think Brownells will suffer the same consequences, but we'll see.

Yup discount still works for 03 FFl's. BCG staking tool is $49.28 with discount and $69.99 without.

WHAT!? That would have been useful when I placed a large order with them in December. I need to figure out how this all works.

Click that link, build an account, and then click their Brownells link before you make purchases. You get a paypal deposit once a quarter from all your cash back.
