Tuesday morning I was plate shooting with my V-22 upper on my stag lower. I was shooting against GSG-5's. All of a sudden got failures to fire, no mark on casing - bad news!
Broke it down thanks to some tools borrowed from a buddy (Carl) and sure enough the firing pin snapped at the cutout for the retaining pin.
Ordered 2 (one for backup) and hopefully will be all set real soon.
2 Lessons:
1) Start stocking up on some parts for various firearms I shoot a lot (already have a big kit for the AR itself). Recoil springs and firing pins will be first in order
2) Improve my range bag tool kit, to include full screwdriver kit, punch kit
