Reading the article, it seems that it was a high angle shot from over a mile away that penetrated the roof before hitting her. Lucky for her; that explains why she's walking around, talking to reporters and that the bullet "fell out" of her arm. From the pictures it looks as if it barely broke the skin. News flash: no, dear, that's not at all what it feels like to be shot.
