Police: Two men charged in brawl in which deer leg was used as weapon

The Associated Press

ALLENTOWN -- Two men, including a 19-year-old accused of brandishing the leg of a deer, were charged in a brawl at the former Troxell Middle School, police said.

South Whitehall police Sgt. Tom Gersbach said the charges probably were among the last stemming from a fight involving 35 to 40 people that erupted shortly before midnight on Oct. 1 after several weeks of disputes among Parkland High School students.

Chaz F. Buzinski, of South Whitehall Township, who police said brought the deer leg to the fight, was charged with felony conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, and misdemeanor counts of conspiracy to commit simple assault and disorderly conduct, police said. A preliminary hearing was scheduled Tuesday.

Police said Robert T. Vreeland Jr., 19, of Lansdale, was charged with simple assault, criminal conspiracy and disorderly conduct, for allegedly punching another man in the face. Seven juveniles were charged in mid-October.

Anyone else old enough to remember the Alfred Hitchcock TV drama where the wife kills her husband using a frozen leg of lamb and then serves it to the unwitting detectives who had unsuccessfully searched her house for the murder weapon?

Now that you mentioned it, yes, I remember watching it. Although I was on the young side. :D

That was a great one.

Almost as classic as the one where everyone looks like pigs and the girl looked normal, but said that she was ugly.

That was an episode of "The Twilight Zone".
