Today I bought a brand new Walther P22. When I take a loaded up magazine, and simulate firing off rounds (manually racking the slide) each cartridge ejects fine until the last round. Is this normal? Am I missing something here? Shouldn't the last round eject when the slide is racked?

I probably wouldn't worry too much about it at this point. What happens when you actually fire it is what matters. When you really fire it, the slide is going to move a lot faster than you are doing it by hand, and that's what the gun is designed for.

I trust you aren't doing this exercise with live rounds.

By the way, what actually happens with the last round?

The last round just sits in the chamber. I have to tip the pistol over to the side and shake it to get the cartride out.

I hope you're not using live rounds. I've found that you have to use the hi-vel rounds like stingers for the gun to work right, if you use the regular ones sometimes they don't eject.
