I guess this is the clincher as far as Patricks anti-gun position is concerned (not that we didn't already know that... this is just the icing on the cake).

Boston, MA - Deval Patrick, the former Assistant U.S. Attorney General who yesterday won the Democratic Primary to run for Governor of Massachusetts, is focusing critical attention through his campaign on the fight against illegal gun trafficking.

“I see an end to the trafficking of illegal guns into Massachusetts from neighboring and other states, through better coordination and cooperation among state, federal and local law enforcement,” Patrick says.

The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence announced a sharpened focus on the issue of illegal gun trafficking early this year. Its President, Paul Helmke, praised Patrick for shining a spotlight on the issue.

“There are many steps a Governor can take to combat illegal gun trafficking whether firearms are being trafficked within the state or from other states. We need leaders like Deval Patrick in Governors’ mansions to make progress in that fight. We specifically applaud Mr. Patrick’s call to restrict bulk handgun purchases, limiting handgun purchases to one a month,” Helmke said. “Many states are sources of crime guns in Massachusetts - and those other states need to help solve this problem. I salute Mr. Patrick for focusing on this important subject.”

“We’re very grateful to Deval Patrick for showing leadership on this fight,” said Nancy Robinson, President of the Massachusetts Million Mom March Chapters. “We stand ready to help him focus needed attention on how criminals get guns.”

Patrick’s leadership on the issue follows similar national leadership taken by Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, who has partnered with New York City Mayor Bloomberg to build a broad national coalition of Mayors to call for Federal action to combat the gun trafficking problem.

Gee, who would have thought[rolleyes]

Point is that Healey is going to need every vote she can get to beat the putz.

Voting for Mihos will only ensure a Patrick victory...

Remember... Guns cant be the only issue either... although You may like Mihos' ideas on guns... You'd due best to look at his ideas on other areas...

He's almost as insane as Patrick.

At least under Healey there will be no change in the gun laws. AND IF Larry gets the AG slot, things will improve.

But if Deval gets in because of too many folks sending votes to Mihos... You may as well as burn that precious LTC-A, beacuse it wont be worth the plastic it's made of.

Do these idiots even realize how much they contradict themselves??? How are restricting sales in MA going to stop that?! [rolleyes]
