Bows...

Is it mostly compound bows now? How about recurve or even long bows? I might like to try it, but I'd have to come into one really cheap, and I wouldn't want to hunt with one without having practiced all year first. How are Browning?

Recurves can be had for very reasonable money, don't know about longbow. I used to shoot a recurve when I was a kid, but just fooled around with it. With bursitis setting in my left shoulder I'm thinking that compound is best for me, but you can definitely hunt with anything so long as the minimum poundage is met. Goodness knows they worked for many a year before the compound came into being!

BTW, anyone been to the shop in Rindge on 119 near the intersection with 202?
