Still looks the same ... it's uncanny .... I think Evans is saying "Did I do that?"

Do you have any facts to verify this claim, or are you just race baiting?

I'm with you, This guy has been around the block a few times and taken heat from the usual suspects, I 'm willing to give him "the benefit of the doubt" . . . . . But he is most likely a "team player" or just a guy that's savy and canny and has put his time in . . . . We'll see. . . . .

The sad thing is if the guy was/is an otherwise reasonable dude his brain will quickly become polluted with shit from Walsh et al. Sadly that position is often "Mayors Lap Dog in the PD".

He's a really good guy. It's sad that the perception will be that he was promoted because of "PC" reasons. I also cannot speak to the motives of the mayor for moving him up. So maybe it was partly "PC" related on his part. If that was the reason it is sad that that could potentially overshadow his achievement. I thought he should have became the commissioner over the last guy.

As for a "team" player.....I mean that is part of the game when it becomes political right.

He is well educated, very well spoken and one heck of a smart individual.

He is a gentleman and a nice guy according to friends on mine in BPD. He's thetype who seems to want to give you a hug if your down. Give him a chance. He has come up from the ranks.

Everyone knows that Fire and Police Commissioners are a political front to the Mayor.
I'll judge him in my own mind and maybe, just maybe this guy can make a difference in that cesspool AKA Boston.

I think we all can agree that Evans and Walsh suck.

Fun fact, he's also the first cop to respond to Nakatomi Plaza in Die Hard. I believe a bad guy falls on his cruiser.

    Here is your script.
Say what your told and you will do fine.
"If it wasn't for New Hampshire's lax gun laws there would be no crime in Boston."
"If we took the guns away from law abiding people there would be no crime in Boston. "
    Nicely done , here's a cookie.

I'll wait to see if he makes any difference with local neighborhood cooperation with the local shootings. Heck maybe he can change Murderpan.

Cant speak about his politics but a real nice guy. I work in the neighborhood he lives in. Ran into him several times. He always is very friendly and goes out of his way to say hello to a schlep public works guy such as myself.

He'd only appoint someone who will follow orders, not the law. Can't have anyone thinking public corruption on Beacon Hill should actually be investigated.

When Evan was in Lowell, he would not allow any permit issued to anyone that was not a business owner who handled jewels or large amounts of cash, a politician, a police officer, or someone who could prove they had already been a victim of a violent crime.

It's worth knowing though that in these big dump cities those policies likely transcend the police chief.

For example, no matter who the chief is in places like springfield, or lowell, or brookline, etc, the PD is always going to suck to deal
with unless they get beat up in court. That garbage comes from the mayor's office (which for any of those towns is always a flamer
    moonbat).
