Boston police have confirmed that an officer was shot on Mount Bowdoin Terrace around 10:45 a.m. on Friday. The officer was transported to Boston Medical Center.

One reporter was doing a live report and she stopped and said a neighbor next to me is telling me she heard shots. Then she says, the neighbor said "but she always hears gun shots in this neighborhood". Sounds like a swell place.

My guess is he'll be there for a few years, max out his pension then gross becomes commish. Gross seems like a decent guy and certainly MUCH more informed and up to the job than evans.
