Bore Leading

Any tips on lead removal? I switched to plated bullets (but still have quite a few lead rounds) due to the tedious task of scrubing and brushing, scrubing and brushing, scrubing and brushing. There has to be an easier and better way. :?

I don't go crazy cleaning my pistol bores since I use all jacketed but I was once recommended Isso non-abrasive paste cleaner by a benchrest shooter and found it worked really well on everything.

Now I use brake cleaner and Hoppes, and then oil with MilCom 2500 from http://www.mle-shootingsports.com/ (who is out of RI).

Didja try soaking it w/ Kroil?
I leave my rifle bores soaking with it from time to time and find there's a lot of fouling that it will remove.

Most copper solvents, Butch's, Sweet's, Hoppe's Bench Rest, will work on lead, also.

For the really stubborn deposits, try a mechanical remover:

Jag and a patch with some of above mentioned solvents will work sometimes as well.
