Obama out-raised Republican presidential challenger Mitt Romney by a 5-1 ratio from the movie/TV/music industry.

This industry was among the top 10 sources of business funding for Feinstein's re-election in 2012, with election funding sources showing these entertainment businesses didn't provide a dime to her Republican opponent.

This is a sterotype the liberal media plays. There are A LOT of african americans that are Christian Conservatives. Most are moderate democrats but there is a good majority of them that are right wing christian. When I was living down south I couldn't believe how christian conservative they were. Remember MLK was a Christian conservative and registered republican.

Honestly, all the labels are very confusing, but I think "liberals" are among those being wedged away by "progressives."

The "progressive" movement is the socialist movement, re-branded because of McCarthy, Hitler, Stalin, Lennin, etc... had created a negative public association with "socialism" (though it has been long enough that, we are once again asking "what is so bad about socialism?")

So, they call themselves Progressives (actually, this is an old label brought back). Progressives are generally elite, or sycophants to the same who are trying to re-establish monarchy or some approximation of nobility. The connected few ruling over the masses made dependent and presumed to be pacified by a welfare state and sundry panders to their base desires (bread and circus).

There are many self-described "liberals" who are closer to "libertarian" than socialist, but Progressives in both parties have polarized the electorate while bringing the parties themselves so close together as to be nearly indistinguishable in practice (by votes, spending, destruction of liberty).
