Life is good!
1.New baby born in late September.
2.LTC unrestricted will be ready for pickup Thursday/Friday.
3. My birthday is Monday.
4. My wife is taking me to the White Mountains this weekend.
5. I’m hitting up several gun shops to exercise my new freedom.
6. Still on leave of absence for a few more weeks.

What shops should I hit up?
DW619 will be one I plan on.

Shooter's Outpost has a fairly wide selection...

And congrats, that is a pretty good list!

Congrats bro, hope you have a blast!!

I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news BUT you wont be able to buy any firearms in NH, as a mass resident, that are not blessed by the devils in charge in mass. The ones that are allowed will have to be transferred in, at extra cost, via Ffl. Ammo, no issue, go to town.

Yeah I’m aware of this already. Long guns gtg if passing the fake news of the 2016 press conference. Firearms (handguns according to Ma interpretation) have to be transferred.

But I can live free or die and pay no sales tax of 6.25%

I haven't seen them all, but Shooter's Outpost is one of the best non-specialist gun shops I've seen anywhere in the US.

Make sure you have a mass dealer lined up to accept transfers of a handgun if you plan to buy something.

Wrong. Completely and utterly wrong.

Handguns will have to be transferred. Most long guns are cash and carry as long as you the buyer understand what you can and and "have" according to herr Healy. If the op wants to buy a shotgun or bolt action rifle or an sks he can walk out of the store with it legally.

Please stop feeding wrong info.

Ok so I guess he can just go buy a Glock or an AR and have it transferred via ffl. Good luck

Op can buy a binelli tactical shotgun in nh and put it in his trunk and drive away!

Believe it or not....there are other fire arms than Glock and ARs....really......there are!

So....

Dude just stop. You said the op won't be able to buy ANY fire arms. You typed it......it's wrong. He can buy a plethora of long guns in NH.

Get over it.

Reading comprehension FAIL!!

I guess I should keep with simple sentence structure...

No comprehension fail at all. You said any that are not blessed yada yada and you said "the ones that are allowed will have to be transferred in with extra cost via ffl". That sentence in quotes.....is not correct. Period. If a dealer in NH will sell you a long gun (allowed in mass) it does not need to be transferred into mass via ffl at extra cost. Cash and Carry. That is a Fact.

If you go to Shooter's you might as well go up the road to Riley's. Although it's sadly a shadow of its former self, it won't take long for your walk through and you might get lucky.

For long guns I'd go to Old Glory and then Outpost. For shorts I'd go to Kittery then Old Glory as Kittery has a better selection. But I have an FFL and can walk away with anything. Last time I talk to Outpost the guy that helped me said they would not even transfer a short to a MA FFL, but longs are ok for all. Reilly's and Old Glory will sell longs to anyone and everything to FFL's....all you need is money....the way it should be! Happy shopping.

There's a gun shop on Bypass 28 in Derry NH: Chester Arms. A selection of guns of all sizes on display, and an enormous catalog on their website.

Picked up a 12 gauge Remington 870 tactical with extended mag tube last week on my FID at Rileys. The 4473 then cash and carry. No problem at all. No sales tax either.

Thanks for the feedback guys!
Most of my long guns in my collection have been purchased in NH and ME. No ar platforms of course. But you can buy great long guns up there from dealwrs and walk out the door with them. There is of course the fa10 7 day requirement from when you get into mass with them.

I had spoken directly to Dana from old glory a few weeks ago and found out that very same information.

I believe you may have been speaking about the word “firearms” as meaning handguns in Massachusetts(which the authorities do determine to be different from rifles) but semantics aside we are all on the same team. Terminology in many respects causes much confusion.

What extension and what barrel do you have if I may ask?

And of course, you reported and paid the fair use tax on your tax free NH purchases, correct?

I was in there yesterday and I only have one word for it.
Sparse.

In Maine I paid more tax than I would have in mass so I will call it a wash in the NH purchases. Lol

That sucks. I used to go in there all the time. Picked up many cans of milsurp 30-06 and 7.62x54r over the years in there. Still have some of it too. They used to carry Greek 30-06 in clips for like 70 cents a round if I remember.
