Anyone know of a good way to put a bipod on a mosin without getting a synthetic stock or having the bipod that is all the way up by the muzzle?

Don't hate me, but I tried attaching a little metal picatinny rail on the bottom by screwing it in to the wood[shocked] but it wobbled. Anyone got any tips?

You're on the right track. Try this,,,

and the pod of you're choice.

it looks like you would drill a hole in the stock for the stud to stick through then place it in between the barrel and stock.

I bought a mosign that had a broken stock. Bought a synthetic stock. Mounted a scope and a bent bolt. Added a muzzle brake. Easily my sons favorite firearm. Put the bi pod on that.

The wooden sniper is soooo sexy though

Are we sure this will work for the mosin? Sturdy?

I have a bipod that mounts to a swivel stud and it is rock solid when tightened down. I've used it on several different rifles (from 10/22's to AR's to Savage bolt rifles) and see no reason why a Mosin would be any different..

Very tactical setup. I'll suggest adding some side rails and tactical gadgets, i.e. flashlight, laser. [wink]
